Deleted domains

I am just trying to get my head round "deleted domains" from expireddomains.net are these domains that expire and then get deleted? can anyone tell me when they start uploading there list is that the first time anyone gets to see them? or have they been on auction sites or anything prior to this? are they good to reg? just wondering if there are ever any gems on it or if its stuff people don't really want...

any help would be great!

I registered a domain from the site for two dollars with a coupon code
And sold it for $600 So yes there are gems amongst the rubbish.

Yes, domains first expire, then get deleted. When a domain gets deleted, it means the domain is available for anyone to register.

As domainmogul said, there are some valuable domains that get deleted. Most of them get caught by drop-catchers, but some slip through the cracks.

It takes time to find these gems, but if you keep looking and know what to look for, you'll find em'.
