Deleted.com sold via Sedo for $1000. That means after all transaction fees, the seller will end up with under $900 for Deleted.com.

Very cheap IMO. Lucky buyer.

I think the selling price was much higher, it was sold by a well known DNF member and I believe he got more than this...in fact I thought he sale was taking place outside of SEDO.

I'm very suprised at what this went for given who held the domain previously and the probable value of the domain in general. There just about has to be more to the story. IF not, someone got very lucky indeed.

Well it is on the Sedo front-page right now, I doubt they lie. Maybe he wants to get out of the domain business and had to sell fast.

I believe Deleted.info sold for over $1K in 2003.

I agree, this was owned by a dnf member who wanted much more than this in the past.

Wow, I too suspect that there must be more to the story or something. The domain is without a doubt worth much more than $1K.

Possibility of death, stolen, taken, borrowed, who knows what happened. I used to know a person that gave up gbuy.com to Google for under $100 because their cousin had access to the domain, and was contacted by some anonymous Google broker and gave it up very cheap.

He sold it for cash and he made a deal with the buyer. The buyer is developing a number of websites aswell for him

Apparantly www.nitrofour.com are the new owners - I think the name has been hijacked in the past.

Gotta be a mistake. I know deleted.com was hijacked from the dnf'er awhile back and he had just got it back not too long ago.

edit: Apparently, there's more to the deal than the 1k sale.

I think:

The name was hijacked a month or two ago.
The origional and rightful owner got the name back and decided to sell.
The buyer paid him $1000 in cash + a pile of developed websites and future work.

Yes, I sold it for 1K plus webdesign for a bunch of my aprox 200 names. I think it will be for the best that I get my sites off the ground.
