So according to this I can make 10 blogs submit them to 5000 directories each and then someday I will wake up and think I am fed up of this blogs and just park them.mwzd said:I said imho it is unethical
am not sure about it being illegal.
Domains that were developed websites and have links because of that are more valuable than a hand reg of the same variety. That is an established fact.
Therefore anything done while it was or is a developed site helps you reap benefits of parking, but it does not make promoting/buying traffic for a parked page ethical.
Hence the differentiation.

Now this train is going in another direction "Pump and Dump"
Donny said:The "pump and dump" method is one I hear about all of the time. The ones that I laugh about are the "pump and park" domains. Build up a blog for 2-3 months and then park the domain. I even saw one guy who only parked his blog on the weekends.
To me adwords traffic is legit traffic if it's going to the correct company. If you send it to a Google based parking company, it's called garbitrage and Google will kick you out and your parking company will kick you out as well. But if that traffic was going to a Yahoo based parking company, the traffic in about 85% of the cases is excepted without any problems. Natural or paid Google traffic is good traffic.
Remember not all parking companies have the same rules.

Yesterday I was on a panel with Domain Sponsor, Sedo, Namedrive, Revenue Direct, Active Audience, Trafficz and Fabulous. But nobody really asked us many hard questions. Each of us have our differences in opinions about how things should work, but that's what makes us all different.
I'm not really sure what type of "web directory" you are talking about, but if it's like dmoz or something like that it's normally fine. The problem comes in when a large portion of your traffic is coming from one source.
Boosting traffic at least in my opinion is the most important thing you need to do to make money. If you don't have much traffic you won't make much money. I could write a book about all of the different options to boost traffic, but many are being mentioned here all of the time.
The second most important thing that I see is relevancy. If you have a domain about cars, the keywords on the domain should be about cars not forex trading. Give them what they came looking for and you will make lots of money in the business, it may just take some time.

.X. said:It would be totally awesome, and extremly benificial, If Ron could put together a tarffic parking conference in the chat room, Invite reps from all parking companies to attend, Questions pertaining to how to increase your CTR and ect aren't even relevent, More like...What we can, and can not do to drive traffic to our landing pages would be the ideal topic, So we as domainers will know what parking companies we may consider to use, Based on thier answers to simple questions, It will probably never happen...Such a parking traffic conference, But it would be so benificial if it did.
