Hi, new here.
Would be interested on any thoughts for the value of daysout.com.

I have played with the idea of developing it fully but simply dont have the technical knowhow to do it myself.

Thanks for looking.

The domain name only: about $100, maybe a bit more. With de developed website: the monthly income of the site multiplied by 10. Good luck!

I see a lot of comments about developed sites being worth more...what about the cost of developing?

Very good question indeed. IMHO it is not counted if it's just plain HTML or PHP or ASP. More or less anyone can do that. Also if you have spent 1,000 hours on it of your own time and multiply that by $10/hr (or $100/hr for that matter) it does not count. Meaning: a buyer will look at what he can make and how long it takes to get his investment back. The rest is irrelevant.

Now if it is something really special in Flash or JSP or CF or XML, it may be worth something but again, the result of the look & feel or programming, will (or should) have its effect on the income of the site so the better the programming, the more income and that determines the value of the site. My 2 cents...

I don't think that real cost of developing lies in producing the pages alone, but in time spent making/maintaining the content, and investing time/money in promotion. Devoloping the site needs time, you can't do it overnight, and if you develop it so that you can sell it, I don't think you will make much proffit in the end.

The real question: is it that much easyer to develop relatively popular name? I tend to believe that pricey names are for selling and original ones at reg. fee are for developing. My 2c.
