I found this gem on www.freshdrop.net

This is such a great find, I'm so excited. Everyone knows the internic ... also afternic.com is a multi-million dollar domain internet site.

So what better domain name to have if you are selling data ... DATANIC.com

It is the perfect name for an industry that will be one of the bright futures of the internet: the selling of data.

Easily you can put something else to sell data lists, etc, etc... or later you can make it the central repository of all data on the internet. The sky is the limit!!

Let me know what you guys think.

When I see it, the first thing I see is a typo of 'Satanic'.

I wouldn't be surprised that you would say that with a name like 'Devil_Dog' :P

Anybody else want to give this an appraisal?

Well, I think it would make a great name for a domain register service, or even a hosting company?

Who knows about the InterNIC? Domainers and...?

Datanic is a fancy name. Good luck in making it a strong brand like Afternic.

I also have one this kind of domain: miniNIC.com. I appraise it at mid $xxx.
Good luck.

this is an end user name, period. A reseller won't give you beyond mid xxx for it.

But to an end user, this could be very valuable, anything from low x,xxx to low xx,xxx (depending on how deep the end user's pockets are). I like it a lot, as an end user, I would be really interested in such a name.

Keep it for the long haul. I'm sure you'll get approached by someone
