I haven’t seen I Am Sam, but I was surprised when I saw this clip to see Dakota Fanning beat out the likes of Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter and the Sorceror’s Stone) and Haley Joel Osment (A.I.: Artificial Intelligence) for the Critic’s Choice Award.

I Am Sam is really a good movie. If you have never seen it I recommend renting it.

I AM SAM is Sean Penn's best work to date as an actor. Maybe not the most incredible movie but his performance was noteworthy. The wife and I always talk about him as a great actor in context of that film. Sad you aren't a Sean Penn fan...he is a top 5 actor in the world imho and this film proves it. You 100% believe that Sean Penn is a mentally disabled person.

As for Dakota Fanning...I think she is a very good actress for her age. Lots of range imho and has the potential to be the next .com err..I mean super star.

After watching him as Jeff Spicolli in Fast Times at Ridgemont High, that's no stretch!

Dakota Fanning is amazing and definitely bears watching.. hopefully she'll continue to make some intelligent career decisions and not fall prey to the star hype.
