Recently I have moved and dramatically changed my setup. My new desk is glass and an "L" shaped desk. Currently, I have the tower diagonal so people can see inside of the case. When I did this, I couldn't get to the power button.
SOLUTION
Basically, I've routed a power button to the mother board of my computer, which I have installed in my keyboard.
How I did it:
-Went to radio shack and picked up a button
-Opened my keyboard, drilled two holes. 1 for the cord to escape and one for the button to sit in.
-I soldered the wire to the button and directed the wire out through the escape hole I previously drilled. I then filled in the whole with glue from a glue gun so the wire couldn't be pulled out.
-Lastly, I connected the button to the motherboard
In all it turned out awesome, and only took a few minutes. Tell me what you think!
-Nick :D
EDIT: Here is a view of my desk (sorry for the bad quality image) http://imagedirect.us/uploads/!cid__1229072133.1203456443.jpg
