Now if this isn't the coolest gadget ;) ...

Smart phones and PDAs offer an impressive amount of computing power. But in practical terms, they are not always easy to use. Writing long emails or other documents can frankly be a pain.

The revolutionary Virtual Keyboard (VKB) uses the latest infrared & laser technology to project a full-size keyboard onto any flat surface. For the first time Users can then type as normal on this virtual keyboard (VKB), enabling them to work quickly and effectively, taking the pain and frustration out of minuscule keyboards and handwriting recognition software.
Imagine how much easier it would be if you had a proper mobile phone keyboard that fits in your pocket...

There are no pictures or anything on that site, is it a scam?

I've used one. It works, although it's not a viable replacement for a real keyboard. It really takes some getting used to, and personally I'd just as soon peck with a stylus.

Here's a link to the manufatures site:

It's real, but typeing is extremely hard, because you must press each button individually. If you want to press "H" and accidentally missed by a millimeter to "J" it'll type HJ, etc.

Last year, the stock IBZT.OB was touting this exact product. The stock went from 0.002 to 0.08 (several thousand % gain), but then went back down as I don't believe they ever delivered a product. They even took orders, but kept on reporting technology and delivery delays. I stopped following them, but meanwhile the stock got delisted to the pink sheets and now trades at 0.0006.

Well that was stupid. They could have just called me and I would have run down to the shop and picked some up for them. The bluetooth version was already available last year, and the cable version is even older.

I don't think the cable version is even available any more. And it was serial anyway. Actually this is the root of one of my main complaints with the device. It's not a keyboard. It's a device that requires a special driver to let it act as a keyboard. I appreciate there are technical benefits to processing things on the PC instead of the device, but this means that if they choose to not write a driver for the next pocket pc you buy then you're screwed.

I'm pretty sure the BT version has a serial interface as well. Or you could use a BT USB dongle. But I'm guessing you want USB to power the device. Even that should be possible with a USB->DC cable.
