We currently have our generic domain, CustomerService.com, parked with Dotzup.com as a clearinghouse for customer service products and services.
We get, on average, 3,500 uniques per month with about a 50% CTR!

We don't want to sell the domain name right now because we think it will only increase in value as internet usage grows; but we'd like to increase our current income.

So we're looking for suggestions on how to increase revenue. Should we lease the name, develop the site, or what ??????
We'd appreciate it if you'd post your ideas/suggestions for increasing the revenue from our site.
Thanks very much. White Fang

I think you can develop it into an informational site consisting of useful resources on how to improve customer service :)

Developing allows you to bring a lot more traffic, but your CTR will probably drop significantly, because people will have other options than "click on ad" or "hit back button", such as content and navigation, etc... So I guess you need to determine a reasonable projection of traffic and CTR versus the current setup. You're definitely going to need a solid plan of action and a concrete understanding of what you're going to market and the best way to go about it. Just setting up a general informational site pertaining to customer service probably wouldn't be the most profitable approach. Unless you can provide customer service outsourcing (even in a middle-man role) or develop some type of customer service software (like a support ticket system, or something of that nature) I'm not sure you'd be able to fully monetize the development of the domain.

Leasing is a great option and allows for two major benefits. 1. You're garunteed a steady monthly income from it. 2. You allow the company leasing the domain to essentially do all the work. After the lease runs out, you can always choose to increase the price, sell them the domain, or park it again and take advantage of all the backlinks and traffic that they have generated. Whether you will be able to find a serious company who would want to lease that domain without a buyout clause is another issue altogether though. Most companies won't want to put the time and money into something like that without having a concrete way to retain ownership.
