Wow. You beat me to that one.
That's exactly what I do = custom art for people. Used to draw/write comics for Marvel years ago, now I like the net art thing.
I'm waiting to invent a cooler name... one hasn't hit me yet for what I like to do. But yours, though not an exciting name, is immediately recognizable as providing a valuable service.
I'll keep thinking on it, because I'm a sucker for way cool names instead of this meat-and-potatoes kind. May still PM you in a month or two - but I don't think you'll have any problem selling this name for more than I'd offer, even then

Very nice name, with a very high potential for development, very fit for business! Undeveloped, for a reseller, around mid $xxx, but with an end-user, perhaps a company engaged in this type of business, it could easily reach the mid $x,xxx range.

You can either hire artists who do custom art and accept projects from others. Actually what would be easier is just to wait for a nice offer from a company in this line of business (or contact them yourself).

Or you could also put up a sort of a freelance network, except this one is for custom art of course, where transactions between artists and customers can take place (bidding for projects, contracts, etc).

That is what I had in mind, is a site were freelanc artist submit their work for sale or for just viewing.

Also, I just planned on keeping this until an end user came around too
