check this out:

Spiffy Corners - Purely CSS Rounded Corners

im fairly certain its ridiculously complex and annoying to do regularly, but you may be able to either use that to generate your corners, or make a serverside function that generates it for you when you pass specific arguments.

(you could also go the javascript route and use something like Nifty Corners)

There's no easy way to do it in IE - it's either a messy image hack or the Spiffy Corners as above.

Although personally I'm happy to have my website look fine in IE but better, with rounded corners, in the other browsers. :)

CSS 3 supports round corners with out images I believe, but it's not supported by IE like tristanperry stated, stick to 4 divs and work out the image positions.

I agree that spiffy corners is the way to go if you don't want any images.

Another option (IF your visitors have javascript enabled) is curvycorners - it uses javascript only for IE and css3 for ff/safari/chrome.

It throws an extra div into your code but it isn't *quite* as ugly to look at (the code) as spiffycorners. Supports anti-aliasing too.
