Domain Parking Guide & Domain Tools/Site Links (updated the site!)

I thought I'd create a simple guide for newbies based on my own experience as a newbie for the last week since I started. I've also included a list of useful links at the last page which I hope will find it's way into your bookmarks.

Btw, I'm kinda a website newbie too and I only spent 2 days on it so I apologize if the quality's questionable :hehe:

Check it out here: Domain Parking Guide

To all the experts out there, please feel free to comment so that I may make adjustments to the content accordingly.

Thanks for reading.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.

Cool. But I'm sure you could have fit a few more affiliate links in there somewhere ;)
(And if you're linking to regfly, pool, snapnames, etc. you might as well use aff links)

Nice site but

What If I Don't Have the Time or Knowledge for Developing Websites?
Here's the good news - you don't need either to make money online! There are innovative companies on the Internet that provide the website content. All you need to do is select the relevant category based on your domain name, choose the keywords and point your domain name there - it's known as Domain Parking. Now when someone visits your website, a list of advertisments wil be automtically displayed. When the person clicks on the advertisment, you get paid. This is how a parked domain looks like on Sedo:

HEALTH
Atkin's Diet

CASINO
New Poker Sites

COMPUTER
Notebook Retail

VOIP
VOIP Services

PERSONALS
Kisses XXX

Click on a few advertisments while you're there & help keep this content FREE ;)

Agianst TOS to tell people to click will get your account closed.

I hate to be a partypooper, but come on tolkein... Do you really think we're idiots here?
Playing "I'm a newbie, I'm so cute" card?
Registering Sedoinc.com to list your Sedo-parked domains and ask visitors to click?

Thanks guys.

Midano: Yes, I AM a real newbie. Sorry if the quality of my work tells a different story. You just have to do a whois check on ALL my domain names and you'll see that they were registered in July 2005.

I think being less than 15 days in this game, I qualify for a newbie ;)

If I didn’t know any better I would have thought you were a seasoned professional. You have done a fine job with that site’s development.

PS. Was SalesAsia.net your first domain?

Yup, salesasia.net was my first domain. My original plans back then was to develop an asian auction site. It didn't take off because of my limited HTML knowledge and resources. I had actually lost faith in making money online until I found NamePros.com :)

Actually, I just wanted to show how a parked domain page looks like - I'm no longer asking my visitors to click on the advertisment. Is it ok this way? Thx.

That's cool you don't need that to take a chance of getting your account closed market the site you will do pretty well. Good Luck

One thing I'd suggest is that you change the link code. There are other ways to have a link popup in a new window without using some javascript that tells you what the window size should be. It always bugs me when a site decides to resize my window.

Jonathan: Thanks for the tip - yeah, I'm trying to figure out how to do that too. I'm still very green to developing websites and I did sedoinc.com using a very basic GUI editor. But I'm sure I'll pick things up and improve the site along the way ;)
