Just thought this might be an interesting thread to see what ideas people can come up. I will start with one.

.ED Domains

.ed could stand for education and would also be a great extension for hacks such as power.ed, determin.ed, financ.ed, show.ed etc.

What ideas can you guys come up with? :gl:

.fx for "effects" much like the .me. It has a twitter/myspace calling to it for personalized websites. It would take some unique marketing campaigns to stick but it could go far. I already have my list of "to have's" in case of launch. "It would replace the much worn and humble..... .com" Oh boy! Did I just say that?? scratch that thought. :lol:

.XXX is a great use for adult specific web ventures. Can't believe that wasn't a pre-requisite to safe commerce for the protection of children along time ago. It shouldn't have anything to do with any sort of special lobbying or privatized financial gain at all...just ethics one would think! It's the nature of the beast I guess......

A little off subject but another thing that they should take a closer look at as well is the whole registrar special drop auctions bamboozlement that is used by the very same services that offer us paid "special dedication" for supplying services but then use our money to compete with they're very own customers ...such is the case with Afternic. They supply you with an auction platform to sell names is guise of a special service provider that should have their customers best interest at heart....then they swamp their system with their own names and those of their "favored" prospects such as BuyDomains names (then they became BuyDomains) to compete with their very customers and even have segregated personal platform auctions of crap names to pry the $65 from those poor few who must think they are worth something.....even at $10.00...I don't think so. If that's not mafia style ethics embedded in the system then I don't know what is..............:imho: :gn:

I assume that eventually ICANN will allow shorter tlds than the min. 3 letter now proposed.

Just like Sedo is having a 1 letter .biz auction, ICANN might eventually have a 1 letter tld auction, with billion dollar companies slugging it out for .g and .m :p
