I stumbled across this site last week & think it's pretty cool:

You can create your own country and watch it grow every day. You can even join other regions, and roleplay your country on their forum. So far, I'm just responding to the daily issues and seeing how my country evolves.

My country is called Selestan. Send me a telegram if you join up. Maybe if we get a few NPers there, we can start our own region.

I wish this game had more of an -Age of Empires- or Risk - type approach, in which you could actually declare war and control troops, etc. Not very peaceful, but you know what I mean! :blink:

Actually, there are people doing this by means of roleplaying their country on the forum for that region. Since I just started, I'm not quite sure how that works, but if someone wants to check into that, or if someone has done that on NationStates before, please let us know. I have seen where regions actually set up their own maps and people choose the land where their country exists, so you choose your location, neighbors, etc...
