Nic.cr, the not-for-profit organization that overseas Costa Rica's CCTLD .cr, is doing a promotion for .cr at $1 each!!!!!!!! the following is its official announcement:
Costa rica is a Central American country with a population of close to 5 million, bordered by Nicaragua to the north, Panama to the southeast, the Pacific Ocean to the west, the Caribbean Sea to the east, and Ecuador to the south of Cocos Island. nearly a quarter of its population live in the metropolitan area of the capital and largest city, San José.

NIC Costa Rica is pleased to announce that this November 25 we will be holding a special sale to celebrate "Black Friday".
On that day, the price to register a .cr domain for 1 year will go from $70 USD to $1 USD. This sale will NOT apply to the registration of any subcategories of the .cr domain (.co.cr, .fi.cr, .or.cr, .sa.cr, .ed.cr, .ac.cr, or .go.cr), nor to the renewal or transfer of domains.
NIC Costa Rica's Black Friday sale will be available to the general public on Friday,November 25, 2016, from 12:01 am (UTC-6) to 11:59 pm (UTC-6).
