Hi,

I'm planning to develop sites on some of the domains I own. I believe I have enough technical background to develop sites but I don't know what to put in there!

So I was wondering when you develop sites how do you create your content? Manually all by yourself? Or by using automation scripts? Or are there free resources that you can link/embed into your site without getting into trouble?

Any tips are welcome.

Thanks.

I haven't built any sites in awhile (in the process of building one now), but I have always outsourced my content to article writers. I am a terrible writer even when it comes to topics I enjoy :hehe:.

You can buy PLR (Private Label Rights) articles, You can write articles yourself, or have someone write them for you. There are probably other options but these are the ones I know of.

If your new to building websites I would say start reading up on SEO, Backlinking, Site Promotion, and whatever else you can get your eyes on, and start small with a mini site and work to get that ranked high. And once you got that down build a bigger site... And so on and so forth

Hope this helps!

Thank you, that was helpful.

I'm a developer and work regularly on web projects in my daily job. But making money off of a site is a different story. I need to learn more about the things you mentioned.

Original content is the way to go.

If you passionate and knowledgable the subject then write it yourself.
If not, then there are article writers out there who will write something for only a few dollars.

Content is the king. It makes us to have the awareness of certain happenings or any thing else. So for the new website its better to provide the unique and quality of content without spamming. And also frequent update is necessary.

I agree. The problem with this method is that you have to be knowledgeable enough to create quality content on the subject. This limits the number of sites you can develop this way. Also it is time consuming so it's not ideal for "mass production".

I am trying to find some free resources on the topic. So at least there would be some content in addition to what I might add on my own.

mass production and "quality" really don't go hand in hand. development just for the sake of development always turns up sub-par websites that don't deserve to rank in Google.

As 4u-domains mentioned above, write something you are passionate and knowlegable about. Provide content that you would personally find useful - make people want to share what they find on your site, and also want to return for more

Currently I have some projects that I'm planning to maintain in the long run. For their development, I'd be meticulous about the content but I'm not sure if I can spend much time on the domains I'm trying to sell. Anyway, I guess the solution is clear. It's just a matter of deciding if the return value would be worth the time and effort spent.

When people on this forum advise others to build the site, I thought what they meant was just create some site with auto-generated or free content gathered from source. Because obviously domainers don't necessarily acquire domains that they are proficient on the subject. But everybody says create the content yourself so I guess I misinterpreted what was meant by developing the domain.

HI

All of us are aware that web content writing is very crucial for a website; however do you know how to confirm whether your web content is search engine optimized? Create fresh and attractive contents that go a long way in improving the site ratings.

This is so true.

I'm so addicted of putting up a website for my every domain. I tried my best of putting a quality content on each of my websites, but it's not possible since I am only a one man team.

The best strategy is focus on just a few websites, so one can concentrate fully in making a website get more visits from users.

I would suggest you to hire some professional content writer for your site.

Look your website is the door to your business. If people like your site then only will they think to take your service. So, without any second thought, just hire some good company or firm which provides professional and expert content writers for you.

You can outsource your content especially if you are not sure on what to write for your website. Just make sure that you will set your own standards for your writers.

In outsourcing, you can hire a freelancer in forums or freelance portals. You can also try getting the service in fiverr or any similar sites.

Good luck!

Copy-paste doesn't work now, it would be good if you avoid it, develop fresh and quality content of your site regularly, it would help.
