Contacting End Users Through Websites

Alright, so let me get this straight...

To contact an end user that may be interested in your domain, you:

1. Search similar domains that would benefit by having your name
2. Whois that domain
3. Email the whois Administrative Contact for the domain

Is that the best way, basically?

if they have a website, I would use the contact given there (the "Contact Us") link, rather than the Administrative Contact. Many times they use emails that aren't checked as often as the official website email.
