Hi everyone,
I was on my computer this morning, and it shut off. So, I decided to go take a shower. When I came back, I tried turning it on, and to my complete surprise, it wouldn't turn on.
So I opened up the case, the little light signifying that there was power going through the power supply was on, everything plugged in, looked "A" okay.
I'm quite nervous that maybe the power supply surged itself and blew my whole motherboard, which would make my AMD 3200+ processor and my GeForce 6800GT OC about as usefull as a wet piece of toast. I'm ordering a new power supply tomorrow to see if it works.
Has anyone had an experience like this; and, if so was it only a power supply problem (say it just blew out or something), or was it much more serious (i.e. turned your computer into a useless pile of metal scrap)? Thanks
