Computer Problems Earlier

!@(*##! My computer rebooted suddenly earlier, then kept rebooting! I don't know if it was a virus or a power surge or what but I ended up having to reformat my C drive earlier then reinstall all my apps and drivers! I can't afford to be without a computer right now. I have a spare in the closet but it's SLOW with a 10GB hard drive and Windows ME! Maybe I should drag it out and set it up ion the bedroom, just in case!

Sorry to hear that, but now it's the time to do an image!

Just use something like Ghost or Acronis True Image, in case you have again a problem you will save a bunch of time (PM me if you need help)

Cheers

Frank

Uh Oh, make sure you back up all your data just in case. Hopefully you can get it to stay on long enough.

Seems to be ok at the moment. What a pain tho! We had a transformer blow last week that messed it up a bit.. took several tried before it would boot up.

Hm, the problem repeated itself late last night and the computer would not reboot so I'm on my old computer for the time being until i can figure out the problem.. could be RAM, C drive, or power supply (less likely). Messed with it for quite awhile til I got frustrated and went to bed.

If it's the hard drive I'll not only have to wait til I have the money for another drive but XP as well as the computer i had didn't come with the original disks, had XP on a partition in case I had to restore. :(

Clean your PC Connection Slots, remove the casing and then try to boot your PC. This is mostly an issue of over heating.

I've been using Ghost (still in a diskete and 983 Kbytes in size) for the past 6 years or so. Works like a charm. It's definately your best friend in situations like this. :tu: Takes about 5-10 minutes to restore the image!

BTW Loved the cartoon
