With the hyphen it does seem high, I agree ... we'll have to keep our eyes peeled to the DNJ, as well as Whois, and, of course, its development! :gl: :talk: :imho:

With the latest goings on with Sedo, franky, I'm not sure what to conclude insofar as listed / reported "Sales" at that venue IMHO.

I agree, does seem too high....who knows if the buyer will actually come through though

Totally agreed.

If it's on sedo's sales page the transfers and transactions are already completed. So should be a done deal.

It would make for a great movie promotion domain though. Imagine the subdomain service you might be able to offer.

Someone must have been feeling very generous, IMO!

ComingSoon.com isn't even resolving. :-/

The buyer of coming-soon.com probably could have bought comingsoon.com for the same price or lower. It looks like the name was first reged back in 1999.

I would have sold my ComingReleases.com for half of that ... well this world is not perfect.

Definitely a developer bought it.

well hope he can make use of the domain

Imo the owner of coming soon will get many type ins if the name is branded.

This is a real shocker to me. I have to say the person who regged it must be happy they followed their instincts and regged it. I would not have bothered to reg it myself, kudos to the owner!

Yeah the Hyphen kills the price + how many people will think of typing Coming Soon????

I'd assume it's a developer that bought this one, or someone with the intention to develop the domain. There's hardly any chance that someone will type in "comingsoon.com", much less the hyphen in between, so parking and hoping for natural traffic is out of the picture :imho:
Development wise it would make an interesting site to target all the home shopping users and present soon to come products, basically let them buy from a "sneak peek" position.

Obviously this is an end user thing. No one would expect type in traffic for a hyphen.

would you buy comingsoon.com for $20,000?

How do you know? Have you conducted a study of the billions of net surfers out there and asked if they type-in dashes or not?

This is the kind of news that makes me scratch my head and wonder why I put all this time into researching names (and domiaining in general). I should just spend the money on lottery tickets....
