I've noticed that domains are considerably more valuable when all other or most other extensions are taken.

Also, the best domains I have are not .com's, they are domains with good keywords that are regged in most other extensions.

This is my question...

Would you advise trying to find decent keyword or brandable .coms with no other extension taken, or finding good keyword .orgs, etc?

Well... if you can, I would advise dabbeling a bit more in the Aftermarket. There are quite a few deals that can be found and then resold. Many of the domainers who have success on this board really do a lot of purchasing with dropping domains. Just make sure you do plenty of homework and dig real deep - plenty of deals to be found.

The answer depends on your goal. For as is resale or (undeveloped) type-in traffic, its .coms; for development, or development and then resale, its keywords in .org, etc.
