Colbert out-shreds Decemberists’ guitarist

If you watched last night's episode of The Colbert Report then you would be aware that Stephen Colbert beat out Chris Funk of The Decemberists in a shred-off, where both guitarists demonstrated their talent with the guitar. The winner was however extremely clear when the contest came to a end, leaving Stephen Colbert as the victor.

Not only was it an amazing episode, but it had some rockin' performances from many other musical guests including Peter Frampton, Rick Nielsen from Cheap Trick, and Apples in Stereo’s Robert Schneider.

For those of you who aren't familiar with Stephen Colbert's work in the music industry, you should check out this video of his 80's new-wave rock band, Stephen and the Colberts.
