BEFORE YOU GET EXCITED FOR ME!

If you are reading this thread it's because of the crazy headline right?

But in truth it's seems like a glitch with Afternic or maybe I'm just stupid and misunderstood? I'm sure some "pro" on here will correct me! lol

Check the screenshots below and you tell me what I should think?

    coinemirates.jpg

and in Offers section under "Selling" not "Buying" or "Request Price" I see this below.

    coinemirates2.jpg

If 8etaTron is on here? Bro! Where's my money?!?! lol

    jk jk jk

Stuff like this is good to keep the heart rate up! lol

Ouch!! Did you not see the offer come in, you should have got an email? Check your junk/spam folder and see if its in there. They wont want the org or net lol.

My guess would be a fake offer though, you dont get many offers starting at 150k :xf.smile:

My guess is offer from current owner who owns it to get you to try and buy it from them at an inflated cost based on pure hysteria.

The current owner is me actually. Not sure if you understand. The afternic account is "WhoaDomain"

That is Whoadomain's account you are looking at and I am WhoaDomain.com.
No one is trying to get me to buy it. Someone wants to buy it or at least tried to on Afternic.

Probably because CoinMena.com sold for big money not so long ago.

When I register anything Arab related I usually use keyword's in succession like

    UAE
    Dubai
    Emirates
    Arab
    Mena

Maybe error offer, like $150 or $1500 was what they meant?

Maybe @Joe Styler has more insight about these situations

    Good guess but no.

    Let me explain.

8etatron inquired about CoinEmirates.com and made an offer of $250 as that was min offer I set. Fair enough.

Not that I really expect to sell at $150,000. maybe I was just in a bad mood or feeling rascally. I countered with $150,000 after that I really did not care or paid attention to it anymore.

Then I got more offers for other domains so of course I have to log into my afternic to handle those.

I noticed this CoinEmirates.com Expired offer of $150,000.

now I know it's not correct but as you can see "on paper" it looks like a legit $150,000 expired received offer yes?

I just wanted to put it to Namepros and see what people think. That's all.

I mean legally. Either 8etaTron owes me $150,000 or Afternic does? lol

    Think about it.

If someone mistakenly put $150,000 instead of say $15,000 since technically you really should check and double check your offers and read all the fine print.

All offers should be legally binding yea? and you are legally obligated to pay up no? If not there would be legal consequences no?

just saying if the shoe was on thee other foot meaning mine. Wouldn't I be on the hook for $150,000? even if it was an accident?

There is nothing to be excited about. It states clearly in the screenshot that the $150,000 was a "selling offer". That correlates with your counter offer of $150,000.

That is your counter offer, not a "buying offer" from a prospective buyer.

I'm not sure about Afternic, but offer-history is publicly visible at Godaddy auctions.

You see I expected someone to say that. But I've checked my "Buying" section.
I have none there but I understood my "buying" section to be where I've SUBMITTED inquiries for domains or SENT an offer.

I thought the same as you did.

I guess the "OFFER" section needs to be less confusing.

There should be a tab for "Your Offers".

Just a "Selling" tab where incoming offers and your outgoing counter offers all shoved into one tab is a big misleading and confusing.

So...."Buying" tab is where I should check for incoming offers?
    I'll ask Afternic.

This should be made more simple

Buying Tab should be for all the domains I'm looking to buy
Selling Tab should be all the domains I'm selling and offers I'm getting for the domains I own. This tab really should just be all offers you've gotten.
Request Price tab should be where I've submitted my price.

No one in their right mind is paying $150K for this domain. If they had that type of budget, they would have found another way to contact you if there was no response.

Well, if the offer was ever binding it was never accepted, so that point is moot.

Additionally, even if an offer is legally binding it would be on you to enforce the contract. The legal costs in doing that, especially if the other party is in another country, is usually cost prohibitive.

It looks like you made a counter offer of $150,000 and the buyer ignored it. Now your counter offer has expired.

Agreed. And agreed. I already knew what this was obviously. I just post this in here to get a gauge from domainers whether this is confusing and should be made less confusing? Some on here already said "it looks like you got a $150,00 offer".

I'm not really going to go after them because I already know what happened. Just wanted to know if I could and now I know.

Does it really look like that ? I agree with you . That's what it is.

But I swear this looks like a legit offer.lol some even said so at first look.

Anyone not familiar with Afternic would see it as so too I think.

I'm going to add afternic now to this thread and see what they say.

    @Afternic

What's afternic's handle on Namepros anyway?
