This could truly be a big competitor to .COM (especially being a "typo").
I would say with proper guidance .CO could REALLY have a bright future!

Sugar.co sold on 7/25/12 so these are old sales I assume...

These are great sales but notice something...they are still the names that are in the best 10,000. There still isn't a market for ALL .co. You are looking at another 3 years for that.

The numbers .co has disclosed don't make any sense. Last year they had 1.3 mill. regs. Now they are claiming 1.4. Prospect is 2.0 for next year. No chance.

Great extension but be careful what you buy. ALL sales have been in the top 10,000 names.

18 months and a gain of 50,000 registrations. Like I said, great extension but at least three years before the "outer" .co names have good value. If you have the time, wait it out. If you don't, stay with .com.

Easy.co, Sugar.co and several other names were also published in the DomainNameSales Industry Sales tab yesterday. The range for Sugar.co was listed as $5-10k, which doesn't make any sense considering how much it sold for on Sedo.

I thought that was strange.

No. It confuses people because they see sales listed with the current date and assume it's accurate. I learned about the. CO sales prices on DNS from someone on Twitter. It's fine for DomainNameSales to summarize sales, but they are all listedbas "Jan. 9, 2013" the day they were added, NOT the day (or even the year) they sold.

It's very misleading. It's so easy for people to spread misinformation in mere seconds these days. I am skeptical about sales figures I besides those listed in DNJournal.

The fact that sales are still going on is a good thing. I've turned down a few offers on Cubicles dot co but I'm getting to the point where I want to sell everything off and fund other projects.

I think a multiple of .001 (or .1%) would be in the ball park for strong keywords. IMHO

That seems generous to me.

But seriously, I think the conversion is close. Of course there will be deviations from time to time much like the blips on a radar screen. Good luck. IMO

The .CO multiple is a tool. It will not apply to each and every case. Just use it as a tool. In addition the .COM should be used for the multiple as the multiple will be more accurate when used as a "down convertor".

I would think probably about 85% of the time it will be close if used with these parameters. When in doubt round the .CO down (eg. $150 becomes $100, $15 becomes $10, etc, etc.).
