This could truly be a big competitor to .COM (especially being a "typo").
I would say with proper guidance .CO could REALLY have a bright future!

I dropped several of my german .co including:
Wohnung.co (apartment)
Wohnungen.co (apartments)
Anlagen.co, Geldanlagen.co (investments)

IMO it's better to stick to English and Spanish keywords with this extension. I was eyeing Kasino.CO, but then decided not to grab it.

BTW I grabbed only these 2 .COs this year, Backgammon and BnB.

Normally, I'd agree, but the very first two offers I got on Sedo for .CO were on German .COs. I like to diversify - but in general, yes, unless people have a very good sense of the language and the buyer's market, it's safer to stick to English terms.

You tell me. Since you registered the domain, did you get any traffic. Use Google Analytics to check your incoming/outgoing traffic.

A few months ago I got a high exact match .co to see what kid of traffic it would get.

823,000 exact match a month, parked it at Voodoo

last 30 days, 2 hits.

the .com is a parked page, so I'm sure it would get a little more if it was a developed site. But I wouldn't expect much in that case either.

I wonder what their definition of active site is. A lot of .co are on Godaddy placeholders, which is a form of parking. I will compare the distribution of second and third level registrations against my own analysis.
