There are only 3 million population of nz.

businesses here arent really after good keyword .co.nz domains from what i have seen
they usually go for businnesname/brandname.co.nz
unless its a good keyword such as marketing/accounting/music/ i wouldnt register it

They have a nice pricing for .co.nz domains
Much cheaper then non-New Zealand domain registrars.
