Why would someone place a ™ on a domain name and not register it?
I just tried and got the "WARNING" someone placed a ™ on it ???

Because can you afford to to register your TM in each one of 100+ gTLDs?
More to the point, why should you be made to fill the coffers of private companies to protect your TM?

The better question may be why are you trying to register a TM?

It's a slang word from the urban dictionary with no registered companies and I didn't know it was ™ until I hit "Checkout". Which I removed it but just curious.

Doesn't sound like much of a TM which makes me curious too.. I assume it's registered in the Clearing House.
