Thanks Colin! I got about half of them on the first day of GA (pre-order) and the others a couple weeks/months after the launch. CarGames.club and Velo.club (bicycle in french) were on the names collision list, I found those while checking the whole list not too long ago. I make websites for a living and I'm planning to develop some of those.

The .club hype if you can name it "hype" is really interesting. A few nice aftermarket sales and rising registration numbers. A probably reliable .club registry and good, not too aggressive marketing.

These reasons let me register a few .club domains though I originally planned not to engage in any of the hundreds of new TLDs at all, regarding the domination of dot.com and mixed experience with dot.mobi.

Well, I finally could not resist and came late to the party, the best domains were gone of course. I do not expect to sell any domain in the first two or three years and will watch the maturing of this extension patiently.

I am not a lawyer so I would recommend you discuss this with a trademark lawyer. My first instinct though, is that the name is a notable trademark and not a generic word. Made up words are harder to defend than generic words. (pinnacle or apple).
