Click through % for parked domains.

Just curious what other people are getting in click through % for their parked domains.

I am at 4.10% right now, which I think is somewhat abysmal. I have optimized my pages and am unsure what else I can do to get the click through rate up. I am currently using a 1 click versus a portal for my parked domains.

Your thoughts are appreciated.

All I can say is that I think everyone must be Christmas shopping as my Sedo earnings are at an all time low this month

At one place I am 8.26 this month (13.87 last month -- that included 1 name with 164 uniques and zero clicks). At the new place I am at 20.86 this month -- this may not be a good example because I just added some & 2 have 1/1 and another has2/1.

For about the last 7 days, I am at ~400 uniques with only 20 clicks for all of my domains.

EDIT: but some of the clicks have been nice ones... >$1

My overall average CTR among ALL my domains is around 33%.Though I have some domains at Skenzo.com with over 100% CTR,sometimes 150%-200% (visitors clicking more than just one link).Skenzo has very click friendly pages.

November average at sedo was 14.55% > best on a single domain - 35.76%
December so far - 8.54%

Some of my names have 0 ctr, while others have 80%. Very dependent on the name. Parked at DS. Please stop using affiliate links and codes all over this forum-it's driving me crazy. Not sure if anyone else is noticing it. If this part of the comment is too negative, mod can delete.

That is certainly a hellavu lot better % than I have right now. One of my domains is at <2% click through rate!

Is all of your traffic coming from type-ins? 1,112 uniques in one day is pretty high for type-in traffic.

i can't tell as it's parked... all I know it's Alexa ranked has 1500 incoming links (MSN, Google, etc.) and it's a PR3

After hearing your success with this one, I went out and regged gayimp.com and gaydre.com. Not sure if I will have any success with them because they don't have any incoming links.

Just curious, how do you have that many incoming links? Was the domain developed previous to your acquisition of it?

I made a similar thread a few months ago.

At that time I had been averaging a pretty consistant click through rate for several months, but this month my uniques have shot up but my click through rate has dropped to 5.25%

yep - check webarchive.. it used to be a directory with links for gay/lesbian community... I'm actually selling it as I don't think will ever develop it had $XXX mid/high offers but the way I see it it makes $4 / day = $120 month would be looking at $1K minimum to sell + it has a catchy name..

as I was telling somebody else, it's funny but if you search wikipedia there's a species of frog which is actually GAY LMAO!!

SOme names 40 % month in monht out but overall have ac ouple that get type ins no clicks so brings average down to about 8% at sedo at Fabulous probably around 20%

Revenue/Clickthrough Rate all depends on the domain IMO.

The quality of the traffic will determine your revenue, I have a domain at NameDrive which has a CTR of 32%. It has 52 clicks and made $35! :tu:

Thats the best I have ever had, and really its because of the quality traffic. Although optimization is the key
