I have a question,

I Know that you can't click on your google ads, but can you search your own site that has a google search box? sometimes i want to search an article on my site, and i only have a google search box.

Yes, you can. You just can't click on any ads that show up in your search.

Thats isn't allowed either because you are getting credit for your own clicks (on search result page) which isn't allowed by google.

P.s. As long as the sponsored links are not clicked on search page, you should be fine..

you earn only if clicks on ads in query result, not for the main result. If you only search without clicking on ads what would be fine.

Guys do you get any CPM ads shown in the search results or is it just CPC ads. I know that people can site target ads which they must purchase on a CPM basis.

Also, if you keep using your own search engine and don't click on any ads, the impressions will still be counted in your stats making you have a lower eCPM. It could also mean that all the advertisers where their campaigns are shown on your site, will end up getting charged more because their campaigns are not doing aswell when it comes to getting clicks mainly because you are searching and not clicking.

So it may be best if you ask Google about this, although you will not earn anything so that will not be violating, it will also mean that the advertisers campaigns shown during your search will not convert to clicks and they will have to pay higher costs then.
