I've seen some good classifieds domains and they don't get very much traffic (at least according to urltrends.com is that a good site to determine that? are there better ones?) and are just parked. I've talked with a couple of the owners and they seem to have only gotten them to resell for a profit. I don't want to give away which ones I want but lets just say I wanted these ones, how much do you think they would be worth. So how much should I offer?
ProvidenceClassifieds.com (Providence, Rhode Island population 175,000)
RockfordClassifieds.com (Rockford, Illinois population 150,000)
and how much would just the classifieds word as a domain be worth?
like say classifieds.com or classifieds.co.nz (New Zealand)?
I know they depend on traffic as well but lets say classifieds.co.nz had 5000 unique hits a month but despite that, they did not have very many people listing on their site and they didn't have anything much besides google ad words, so were probably not making much more than if it were just parked.
One more thing, does it make a difference if there's minimal competition in how much it's worth? Like, say there are 10 classifieds sites worth mentioning that deal with Providence and more than half of them are bigger sites that just have a small Providence section like a craigslist section that's not very big. Thanks.
