City domain name

Would a city domain name .net or .info be more valuable. I'm thinking of reging a city that has both the .net and .info available, actually everything but the .com is open

What is occurring, presently, at the .COM domain name / website ... and is there more information that you can provide, generally speaking, about the City itself?

I like the .info better, but I've found that the .net is preferred. I've found better PPC on .org city/county names if using for that purpose.

If its a big time city, like Miami ... then I would think the .net is worth more than the .info simply because .info isn't as popular to the general public as .net is

Humm... Good question. I also have some city names with me. It's a .com but the guys appriased it to $xx to $xxx only.

I would view the .net as the next most valuable extension - particularly for city names. For example Miami.net sounds more like a business portal or commerce site while Miami.info sounds more like an information oriented site with less business potential. :imho:

.net would be a better option in this case. Why not grab both of them? .info doesn't cost much now-a-days.

I prefer .info (over .net,.biz.org..) as well for city names, because i would develope them if i had some The only one i have is Dubayy.com, developed of course.

You can take both, develop the .net into a business portal and the .inof into a genral portal with forums and information

If one extension is worth having, then both are a necessity. Obviously a small town because thare are no "cities" available in any major tld.

Actually it was a city nickname and I picked up a couple others, Theres more out ther if you think theyre worth something. Give me a rep if you get a good one!, I got:

DerbyTown.info
BluffCity.info (poker site?)
NeonCity.info
DreamTown.info

Any opinions on these names?
