Okay, I was a little torn apart between to-reg and not-to-reg
Finally I registered the domain, it was vasai.net
I did some research and came up with interesting facts.
"The British named it Bassein and today it is called Vasai. The most significant past in Vasai's history is the rein of the Portuguese, since they largely influenced or changed to what Vasai-Virar area is today. Historically, the entire region has attracted traders and merchants from Rome, Greece and Middle East. In 1295 AD the famous Marco Polo visited Vasai area."

"Vasai was the seat of the Portuguese power from 1534 to 1739, after which it fell to the Marathas. The Portuguese under Nuño da Cunha built a massive black basalt fort in addition to churches as they found the site to be an apposite harbour. Vasai boomed with the spice trade and the ship building industry. The salubrious climate and the burgeoning profits saw many wealthy fidalgos — blue blooded Portuguese nobles reside here in lavish villas."

Wiki
"As of 2001 India census, Vasai had a population of 49,346. Males constitute 51% of the population and females 49%. Vasai has an average literacy rate of 77%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 81%, and female literacy is 73%. In Vasai, 11% of the population is under 6 years of age."

Vasai
There is a 15th century fort as well over there, the one I was referring as 'monument' in my previous post
"In 1536, Nuno da Cunha appointed his brother-in-law Garcia de Sá as the first Captain-Governor of Bassein. The first corner stone for the Bassein Fort was laid by António Galvão. In 1548 the Governorship of Bassein was passed on to Jorge Cabral.
In the second half of 16th century the Portuguese built a new fortress enclosing a whole town with in the fort walls.

The Fort
I also called up my uncle who stays in Vasai regarding the Real Estate prices over there. Since I believe a Geo domains value is based on the price of Houses and if it is a good Travel Destination.
And I was very glad to hear the property rates have gone up by 15% in the last year. Due to the Over Crowding and Very high real estate prices in towns very nearby to the International Airport. People are now moving to places a little far away such as Vasai. And vasai is roughly 35 minutes journey by train to nearest Airport
WooHoo!
I am very happy with my reg. Thank you all.
