Chinese LLLL.com bubble!?

chinese LLLL.com premiums are at at least $1billion value today?
Unlike Number .coms chinese premium LLLL.com boomed in value in a very short period.
Will they hold their value or is it the biggest BUBBLE ever seen in domains?

I think, analogy could be made from A,O,E for Chinese to Y,Z,J for English in the sense that while there are words starting with Y, it is difficult to make an acronym out of it, as you have limited options like youth, yield, young, year, you, your etc.

Yep, that's exactly it. v, u and i are the only ones that are not initials at all. v just doesn't exist.

Because for the liquid categories China is in the lead and the West is just following, albeit with some delayed whip effect and some factors hampering instant arbitration for price differences. That is just a fact and we have to admit it. If Chaomi reports in a month that the floor is $2800, there won't be any $1850 sales on NJ, 4 or GD...

chaomi has been reporting inflated floor prices for more than a month. nonetheless prices have gone down 20% in namejet, 4.cn and godaddy. there are a lot of chinese buyers in these platforms you know?...

Yes, and Chinese buyers could discount the value for what they are getting from the Western platforms factoring in the time to complete the deal, lock to transfer to Chinese registrars (which seem to add to liquidity of asset for them), transaction fees and limitations etc. The are subject to risk that the market would fluctuate while they are waiting for the added liquidity.

Well its getting close to $1850 sales for chips on godaddy , could happen right?

Yeah, 4.cn is Chinese, but more open to West, I guess and might have more names that are with Western registrars.

And, yes, the regular LLLLs are crawling up slowly. I had written it before when Chips were above 2500$ and non-chips were below $250 that the 10 times difference is unsubstantiated and will shrink one way or the other. Now is it is $2000 and $280, i.e. 7 times, which is still too high. Compare with LLLs, where Chip vs non-chip is 2-3 times higher, depending on quality of non-chip. And it should be the same for LLLLs, eventually. Good quality non-chips will trade at 1/2-1/3 of chips. And there is an opportunity for everyone to stock up at around $300 with better available LLLLs.

I am officially out of the 4l.com chips market now.

I sold 7 in the last week or so and they were all above the current floor and indeed these 2 you mention were the cheapest I have sold for but still not bad nonetheless, and a wonderful buyer to deal with, a true pro

I am still very bullish on 4l.com chips medium term despite selling out and only got out for a couple of reasons:
They have been a poor investment the last few months, (I bought in before that so ROI overall was great and am very happy overall). Following on from that, I didn't want capital tied up in them any longer and see other opportunities elsewhere that could offer greater ROI potentially.

I have over 500 5l.com chips so if 4l's perform well as I expect them to going forward then 5l's will follow behind and get all taken and all be worth over reg fee IMO. In short I think 4l's will do well after Chinese New Year, just require some patience if you're holding.

I wish all 4l chip holders the best!

Fresh outliers from Chaomi for analysis:

VRql.com 7000 with floor being only 2300 now. Shows the value of LLLLs with VR in it.

QOTR, QBAH, QAHC - 2500-2600 range, so Q in the beginning with vowel in the middle, 3 chinese prem and 3 western prem (satisfies both) seems to get about 10% premium, while qjih sold for 2000 (3 chinese, 2 western)

New LLLL.com chinese premium statistics is out, based on Godaddy BIN 4L.com's list.
Actually nothing new comparing to January, the lowest BIN price is $2700 as it was in January.
Most chinese premiums are concentrated into 5K -10K range.
