Is it a somewhat good estimate that
chinese LLLL.com premiums are at at least $1billion value today?
Unlike Number .coms chinese premium LLLL.com boomed in value in a very short period.
Will they hold their value or is it the biggest BUBBLE ever seen in domains?

Share your thoughts please

All latest articles report this is just start of buying from Chinese in domain industry so we will wait and watch how long this market will last i m sure atleast for next 2 year.

nooone sees into the future. We can see history, and it dosen´t show 2 year bubble.

Guys you clearly never sold any 4 letter .com or .net to end-user. I am telling you.

Um your again, so very wrong.

Sold plenty of my 4L's to end users.

cbdo.com for $4000 - Aug 12th 2015
Andrew Rosener (Media Options)

wswu.com for $1500 - May 19th 2015
Chinese buyer (website active) - Should never have sold at that price!

bmaq.com for $3000 - Aug 18th 2014
US business - (website active)

waqu.com for $5500 - Apr 13th 2012
Chinese App maker/seller - (website active)

wtru.com for $4490 - Sep 19th 2006
US Christian radio station - (website active)

Too late for maybe you and others to get in now......but some of us bought all our 4L's years ago, between 2000 - 2007. So we will be well up no matter what happens.

I have held all my junk 4L names (CHIPS) and only ever sold the others for great dollars. I have been patient. And now my patience is paying off. All those junk 4L domains are now diamonds.

It's not all doom and gloom.

Good luck.

My friend domain name is biggest asset if you ever do business and run any e-commerce site you will understood the value of domain name, we are not talking about 10 char name here.
The trend is reversing first it started with keyword then it moved to brand name and now all startup want short name because it is easy to market , its not something new, yes the price is jumping very quickly not at normal rate that thanks to chinese wherever they dump money they try to control the market.
I scanned all 4l.com(chips) and 5N.com domain name file and majority(my eyes say 90%) registered by chinese, now you think all this 90% going to burn their money , what kind of logic is that, they must have something in their head???
Chinese love to hold the name which creating market shortage so it would be very hard for western companies to get back something in 3l or 4l.com at normal prices because Chinese will not sale for cheap in next 10 year because it going to cost them only $10 each year, which is very cheap compare to other asset maintenance cost like real estate or other products.

Other culture pattern of investment what i have notice is when they buy they all buy or dump money in one particular area or category like Newyork or London or San Francisco real estate market they never go out of it even next near by city real estate is cheap, in domain market they doing same they have bought all 4n.com and 5n.com of course they only going to sale in their country or to their companies but now they focusing on global so started buying out 3l and 4l, since last one year now they almost controlling this category they not going to leave it believe me same like 4n and 5n category.

After this buy out now new domineers join everyday and they feel they not able to touch 4n or 5n or 3l and 4l so they started buying 6n and 7n and so the craze is in front of us, again all non chinese premium 4l would be easily going to reach 1k once the newbie feel they not able to touch the 3k or 5k range so if you have bought at cheap just don't jump out of ship wait you not going to loose anything even market fall , patients is the key in this industry.

I wish my word help someone in 4l.com category and of course correct me if i have wrote anything crazy here.

Great post, well said. A lot of understanding of the current 4L market. Thumbs up!!

Come on.. You are totally wrong here
You sold 2 in 2015 for total of $5500
2014 you sold 1 for $4000

This dosen`t justify $2000 reseller value!!

End-user sales are just not there.

and your sales has ZERO Chinese premiums!!! all yoru sold domains have aiuove

I could understand, if you can take them for $200 each

目前不会崩盘,中国还没有多少相关法规是关于互联网的 域名的法规更少,政府暂时无法控制

Translation:
Currently not collapse , China has related laws and regulations is not much about the Internet domain name of less regulation , the government temporarily unable to control.
----------------------------------------------
So what our Chinese friend is saying is that the Chinese Government is powerless to stop all this investment in domains. And thats why it's happening unfettered. No regulations to stop it..........

Especially when it comes to .com's, Verisign sitting over there in the United States, out of reach to the Chinese government.. i would rather be worried about investing in .top / .wang etc.. cause these are all chinese registries able to be shutdown (if ever neccessary one day) by the Chinese government.. just saying since i noticed lots of folks investing in some exotic extensions (and yes, i know you can make a quick buck with them for now)..

Who says so?
The market is the market........we need buyers, sellers and speculators. We have all three, that's a market. And $2000 is the current value of that market. Your going to have to get used to it.

Yes it may fall, but it may also keep running for who knows how long? And yes it may just be a new level, again, you may just have to get used to it.

That's how it goes.......

If I'm wrong please correct me. I think you sold these ones on Sedo.

Selling a domain on Sedo doesn't means to buyer is an end user.

For example I'm a reseller and I search for cheap ones, but a few days ago I bought a LLLL.com and its price was $275. This price is not for a reseller as considered it is a standart non-chinese LLLL.com, but it was an abbreviation of a Turkish word. I bought this because I know that I can sell it to a Turkish reseller or a Turkish end user over $xxxx.

Nice sales......and to end users!

What's your complaint about the current market for then? Did you dump your 300+ 4L's?

That's the only reason I could think of. I'd be happy to be holding that many. I have half that.

All this discussion will not change anything at all. There is only two facts 1.LLLL.com domains is useless 2.They have good demand. So use this chance and make money as later it can be too late when prices stops to rise as it was once in 2008 and it took 7 yrs to start prices rise again.

if they buy at this level, I call them end-users. you can call them as you like
