Checking out via PayPal at GoDaddy

Hmm, I've tried several times but keep getting an error last night. It was fine previously so I was just wondering if anyone's encountering the same problem?

Not being able to checkout with PayPal at GoDaddy?

I dont think there is any problem checking out via Godaddy!
Just registered a couple of domains via paypal at godaddy! :D

Maybe your paypal agreement is voided or cancelled.
When you checkout via paypal, You will see two paypal options.
One is Paypal only and another is paypal acount on file.
Select the first option to create a new paypal agreement .

here are 3 possible reasons (there might be more though)







1. sometimes when I have a small amount in the PayPal balance and try to pay at GoDaddy by PayPal for a larger amount (than the PayPal balance) ... instead of PayPal using the PayPal balance and then charging my CC (which is connected with my PayPal account) ... GoDaddy shows an error after I click at checkout

solution: use up the PayPal balance on something else and try again (or charge the purchase to your CC instead)







2. the CC that is connected with the PayPal account has a temporary security block (usually occurs after a couple unsuccessful attempts to charge something)

solution: call your CC issuing bank , answer a couple of security questions and they will lift the block







3. you try to reg domains (new regs) while the PayPal account does not have a CC connected to it ... as I read somewhere GoDaddy needs a CC to be connected to the PayPal account in order to accept PayPal for new regs (so that it can have a possible funding source for renewals later on , maybe for security reasons too)

solution: put your CC in your PayPal account (or use a CC at GoDaddy to make the charge)

when that happened to me, I submitted a support ticket and asked them to renew for me.

If there isin't enough in Paypal for the purchase,
a backup funding source is required.
For some reason it doesn't withdraw from the bank anymore

I've had no problems with paying via paypal there, but honestly I don't like Godaddy in general.
