Where can I find the cheapest .ie registration? (Ireland)

So far the cheapest I have found was 79 EURO, and that really isn't too cheap.

Hey,

I've taken a lôôk and this is the lowest price that ive seen so far:
http://www.blacknight.ie/ - (€45.00 EUR) £30.59

You might want to look through them all of the resellers... they are listed here:
http://www.domainregistry.ie/ListResellers.php

Instead of searching the web, find the official registry and look through the list of registrars/resellers... and you will know that you have checked every single price for the cheapest.

- Luke :)

NB: Remember that Cheapest isn't necessarily better

yes, I think I've read on their website that you have to have a business in Ireland or or another proof you're connected with this country. Have to send even paperwork to prove.

Well that would really suck for me. I'm trying to register some good typos of .ie domains. I'll see what I can do.

Domain Name Registration > Registration Policy

NOTE:

All applicants applying for a .ie domain name who are not situated in the 32 counties of Ireland, must demonstrate a Real and Substantive Connection with Ireland (with the exception of those applying by means of Community Trademark)

Examples of acceptable Documentation demonstrating substantial trade or commercial activity within Ireland are as follows:

* Copies of invoices (showing trade to or from Ireland),
* High-quality brochures showing a significant intention to trade in Ireland.
* a signed letter on headed paper from a bank manager, firm of chartered accountant(s), registered auditor(s), tax consultant(s) (where the tax advisor identification number is displayed), or solicitor(s) confirming the applicants trade with Ireland.

Sorry, mate. I have already looked into them long before you and I wondered why at that almost all premium keywords were still available.

.IE is available to residents of the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland (I am based in Belfast myself so I qualify for them and gained info several times, but I'm turned off by the price)

As an alternative (because of the many Irish people living in other countries) there is .IE.NU subdomain services created, but with a price of 60 euro/annum for a subdomain it's very unlikely to ever become a success.

For proper .IE domains you need business contacts with Ireland or an address in ROI/Northern Ireland.
