Whats the scoop on this info? I'm curious and I think it would make a good topic. So the question is: "What is the chepest ICANN Accredited Registrar which requires no bulk purchasing, and not including any reseller option." So in other words, you can reg just a single domain. So far I found Name.com @ $6.99. Anymore?

They are a tucows reseller I believe.

But not the same ? Tucows own OpenSRS, or am I wrong ?

Yes both and the same but my original question was what is the cheapest ICANN accredited registrar. ev1 is a reseller. And on top of that, after taxes i think it comes out to a little over $7. Which would not beat Name.com @ $6.99

yes, ev1servers is a reseller, but the openSRS system is icann accredited.

Also, ev1servers only charges tax to Texas residents, which means for all others, the price is still $6.49.

It still meets your requirement of buying one single domain for less than $6.99 :)

opensrs/tucows are one of the best companies to deal with regarding domain names.

Also, 1and1.com is an Icann acredited registrar and they sell domains for $5.99 (although I wouldn't deal with them for domain names based on past reports).

Hostway for $6.95 !
I recently bought two .coms, everything really smooth, even though I had to wait almost one hour in order for my account to be activated.
Really a goldmine... How's that I hadn't heard of that company before is really strange!

You guys are way off the topic here. Not looking for the cheapest domain reseller but the question was to find the cheapest ICANN ACCREDITED REGISTRAR with no reseller program.

I'm not sure I understand the purpose?

What is the difference if it is a reseller based program (like openSRS) or a direct Icann registrar?

If you can get a domain for $6.49 (possibly less) with the features you need, where does reseller or no reseller come into play?

There is no free push there any more (requires 1 yr prolongation) and 6,69 per domain requires 669$ deposit (which you can spend on domains). But this 6,69 is the lowest standard fee i have seen so far (excluding when EV1 had that 5,41$ promotion).

What is even the point of getting ICANN accredation if you ask that question?

ev1 is not icann accredited. Nevermind this thread is getting nowhere. Please close.
