Hi, i know that UK domain cost roughly the same as .com domains. I've been looking for cheap European domains such as .fr .it .sp etc... but couldn't find anything under 30$/year or so...

Could someone please recommend a cheap registrar if there is one?

If you want them all in one place go to EuroDNS.com

It is very hard to get a .fr name without being a citizen or having an registered trademark.

The cheapest route for securing European ccTLDs is visiting local suppliers and getting domains off them- for example .nl is on €4.99 at lycos.nl compared to about €14 at EuroDNS. The only trouble with this route is you have to be proficient in a good few of our many languages...

.es - www.acens.net €11.95 (I assumed you meant .es for Spain where you put .sp- there is no .sp ccTLD)
.it - www.domainredirect.it €8.90

PS- I mentioned lycos.nl as a local supplied for Netherlands, I am certainly not recommending Lycos they are rubbish (especially at hosting).

can it be a trademark registered in the US?

www.acens.net - asks me for username/password ?? ( i did mean .es:) but i found this site esreg.com , €11.80)

I'll manage with the languages.. if you know of any cheap registrars for any other European countries I'd appreaciate it if you post their names.

Thanks!

I think .fr has to be an EU-registered trademark- someone correct me if I'm wrong.
