Hello!

I have no idea about anything and am still learning but implemented a ChatGPT powered domain search :). It uses the OpenAI API quite a bit so it actually costs me some money. But I want you to challenge me. Give me some criteria and I'll list here free domains for grab based on that criteria.

Test me :giggle:

Cheers

A damnt it, I currently only support .com domains. ChatGPT is not super accurate, therefore some 6 letter ones. Here you go :) I got 500 results, posting only the first 100. Anything useful?

Thanks for the effort. I think 5L is not a good idea actually a lot are taken maybe we should ask to be inspired of a list of real brand names and generate similar names

I have about 1500 options in this pastebin: pastebin.com/nhwGgCAv ;) Am still working on the going trough the available domains in an automated manner, but the "one-click" result with no manual interventions would be that:

Raytheonix.com
Ultraconix.com
Progenitix.com
Neurinus.com
Crescendoz.com
Cognitrox.com
Vaximetric.com
Plentirox.com
Elevatize.com
Resilientry.com

Hmm ChatGPT might have taken it too literal. If you have one example of the desired domain the results could be more expected.

There are 4000 domains in the pastebin: pastebin.com/6Li7wNVK

Some of the picked domains in the end result:

EverSecureGuard.com
SecureMindset.net
TrustedFortress.net
SteadfastProtection.net

EnduringProtection.net

Now I did make a short rerun of your query with adding in the sentence "The domain names should be short and a made up word". That yield different results:

Cool, thanks, some nice names in there. Just FYI I tried one at random and it was taken….

Hmm. Maybe a bug. I tried 5 domains at random, they where all free. Unless I do a mistake in the manual handling the domains in the current software iteration are being validated with the official NameCheap API. So maybe that API is not accurate or the domain was actually taken in that time which I actually doubt. Do you still have the domain so I can debug?

No worries I will find it and message you directly

I'm working on something similar for my personal use:

» ChatGPT API to generate the names based on a prompt (done)
» Then Whois JSON API to check them for availability (done)
» Then a valuation algorithm to choose a handful of good ones (working on it)

You may try the same approach as well.

Yes I was afraid that it would. An interesting list all the same, along with your rerun. Thanks for doing it.

A specific example might also be taken literal, wouldn't it? Say like, "blue horizon"

Turns out it was user error on my part! :xf.laugh: Thanks again for this exciting innovation and the opportunity to road test it

For me that worry understandable. So basically I don't think step 3 is possible for me. At least I don't want to put the time in it to really attempt it. I bought some domains I found with the tool and are now sitting on them. I have no idea how to actually sell domains. So what I am doing is pivoting to provide a tool (This is really just first steps and still in validation). And I would really need to have a lot of money to buy all those domain names.

So basically I am just testing the waters and have no clue about domaining. Maybe some sentences about who I actually am. So I am a Software-Developer and tried actually some things already to somehow work for myself instead of my job. As it happens now I have a little time left and this is one idea that occured to me "Find domains with ChatGPT". I jumped into the forum and here we are. Basically I just want to fulfil requests and try to be useful. If I am able to be useful (The feedback was good so far, but as I said I have no clue about domaining itself) I'd be happy to have this as an actual website or whatever. That doesn't mean that I need to stop being helpful in the forum or more specifically in this thread. But to be quite honest I have no idea what I am doing.

Sorry, that was a typo. I meant to say "I'm working on something similar".

Best wishes to you 🌹

Yes, interesting. I did a small run with "brands that evoke trust and longevity without resembling existing words. One example BlueHorizon." and it adds ".com" to it. Might be closer to what you want: pastebin.com/RsMuts1q

Some picks:
TravelZenith.com
JourneyScape.com
ExploreHaven.com
RoamingRidge.com
TrekkingTides.com
AdventurePeak.com
WanderLush.com
OdysseyCrest.com
ExcursionHues.com
VoyageVista.com

EDIT:
Hmm, my top picks selector was biased to double-words, the actual lists looks more expected. In any case I'll check in tomorrow. Keep it up :)

Glad you like it!

I am happy taking in and fulfilling requests per this Thread or private message for quite some while. I want to be really sure there is demand for such a tool before committing to build a more professional solution for this.
