Changing picture

I am trying to start a forum and change the picture that starts on the top left in PHP. My site is http://enemyatthesix.com/forum/index.php. When I went to the destination of the picture and uploaded a new one, the new icon doesnt appear and words appear instead. When I try to view the immage in my host i get the error "The image https://cp.freehostia.com/members/filemanager/?action=view&file=logo_phpBB.gif” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors."

Any help on how to get my image to display would be highly apreciated.
My host is freehostia if that means anything

if it is the logo that has the text EAT6 then I can see it no problem at all.

Regarding your so called direct link to the image, we cannot view that link as that is a link into your control panels file manager and you need to log in to view files there.
