Hi everyone,
Im pretty much a parking newbie, I have a few domains parked at Parking Crew, nothing overly special around 8 domains with a whopping 30 views a day.
My main question, is generally, is it better to leave domains with default keyword settings, or do most people here generally set keywords themselves for the ads displayed, I know PC recommend leaving it as auto set, but with 1.35% ctr I was wondering if that could be vastly improved? Legitimately.

Keen to here what others do, if they only use their own keywords or do a mix.

That's a good question and that can be answered with multiple ways since there are various opinions on the subject.
So, I'll tell you what I do.

1. if the domain has clear keywords in the name (like autopartsforsale), I 100% let the parking services choose the best keywords for it.
2. if the domain *does not* have clear keywords in the name, then
a. If there is a lot of traffic coming in, the platform will shortly get what the visitors search and will eventually find the correct keywords, so I do as (1)
b. if there is *not* enough traffic coming in (as it's apparently your case) then I do a careful research on the domain, ie. where is the traffic coming from, what are the backlinks and what are the visitors expect to find in the domain, etc. THEN
-I switch to a 2-click lander
-I set the best paying relative keyword as main
-I set the best searched keywords as secondaries
-I wait
If the above doesn't work then something is wrong, probably the visitors are bots (or 'dirty' traffic) so I try parking services that have good zero-click and I set the domain there until it expires.

hope I helped

Excellent, Thank you Hyperslot thats a great overview, probably the biggest take away is that the Parking service will "learn" for lake of better word, where the traffic is coming from and will adjust accordingly, I hadn't taken that into consideration!

Actually I have a first bad experience with Google determing the keywords. They were wrong from the very beginning when the domain was parked at DNS. I got 4 times several clicks on high CPC domain, ALL the clicks from 4 days were at the end of the day valued 0.00. I moved it to PC, got some nice clicks which were valued XX USD and BAM my domain was GB in few days. And the traffic was 100% clean. So now when I see domain which gets 0.00 on HIGH CPC keywords on DNS, I immediately move it to some Parking provider I can set keywords to with my account manager. If you dont do that, Google will think you are cheating and after majority of 0.00 clicks your domain will get GB.

So you mean to say that i have provide keywords for my domain and pass it to parking provider. correct ?

In very rare cases. Otherwise normally in 99.9% they are optimized by Auto optimization.
