Changing nameservers on AfterNic

I have some domains that are/and will be/ listed on Atom along with Afternic. I want to keep their Afternic nameservers to keep the Afternic commission of potential sales at 15% instead of 25%

I need to add a txt record to the domains to verify them for Atom. I don't see an option for changing DNS settings on Afternic, has this been removed?

If that is the case, will I be forced to change the nameservers to Dynadot or Godaddy so I can add the txt record for Atom?

You must set the TXT record before changing NS to Afternic.

Typically, you use NS of your registrar, add the TXT record, verify your domains at Atom, then change NS to ns5.afternic.com and ns6.afternic.com (preferred NS). In the Afternic dashboard, select the lander type for your domains.

I was thinking that was the way, but didn't think it would be allowed. So essentially once the txt record is set and I'm verified on Atom, I can change the NS back to Afternic and I'm good to go?

You're allowed to do this with Atom Standard and Plus listings. For Atom Premium listings, the only way is to use Atom's NS (ns1.atom.com and ns2.atom.com). With Premium listings, you're not allowed to use Afternic's NS.

Prepare to get disappointed. I've listed several hundred domains on Atom (Plus listings) while keeping the Afternic nameservers. No sales, no offers, and not even any views! Without using Atom's nameservers, listing there is completely useless.

Really... So did you get results by using Atom's nameservers instead? Plus or Premium ? Idk if my domains would get accepted for Premium but please enlighten if their NS helped.

I've never used Atom's nameservers as I don't want to pay more than 15% to Afternic.

So in your experience would you say overall Afternic > Atom

Because I haven't used Atom's nameservers I really can't comment how well Atom works.

But what I can say is that about 98% of my sales have been through Afternic, even when using my own landers. So in my opinion, Afternic does a really good job selling my domains, despite all the negative comments here on Namepros.
