There were 279 ccTLD domain names sold this week of November 20th – 26th and the best of the sales was .UK domain - Apartments co.uk, the domain was sold by Pvt auction, among them, followed by Tank.io. I was so surprised to see .io domain sold for $60,000. We have previously reported C.at in our last week report but we brought it up here once again to enable our readers know the likely position it occupied on Dnjournal report.
The sedo’s auction of the .at domains is still going hot as you can see the sales, listed on the table below.
According to the timeline, the auction may end on 28th of November, 2016.
It seems the auction was as a result of the ICANN resolution taken on 8th of November, 2016 that they will unblock all two-letter domains that match country codes appearing on the ISO 3166 list, most of which are also ccTLDs. The resolution was taken along the line with the release of the two characters in the New GTLD name space and ccTLDs related domains are involve.
