Hello, i am thinking about setting up a local registrar for my area and im wanting to know which is the best reseller for .com.au domains. The reseller account must be easy to use and customizeable and has the cheapest prices.

If anyone has any recommendations please post here.

Thanks

Morgan

Where can I register single character ccTLD domains?

I know that some ccTLD extensions allow single L or N domains but every website I try says they have to be three letters+

Can anyone tell me where to register such a domain? Thanks! :)

(I'm going to make a URL shortener)

A very few cctld registries allow single character domains (L or N).

You can register single character domains at:

WEBSITE.WS ($50,000/Yr with a min.commitment of 2 years)

NIC.DM ($1000+ /Yr)

NIC.PR ($1000/Yr)

Every single letter with a sub $1000 reg fee is taken so you might need to look to the aftermarket to get one :)

Not entirely true. For around $300 (225 euro) you can get a single-letter domain from the .rw registry (Redirect) and most of the A-Z alphabet is still available...

Bro,
You forgot to read their important domain naming rule:

The domain name must have a minimum of three characters. Applications for one or two characters domain may be considered, with a possible surcharge if this domain is considered as Premium, with prior arrangement.

It's getting harder to find a cheap cctld which offers single letter domain names without any complicated restrictions.

Bro,
You forgot to read their important domain naming rule:

I'm not your Bro, and didn't forget to read anything - this is a "possible" additional charge, a surcharge, that (even if it is applied) will in all likelihood be no more than $50.

I'm not looking for an argument as to whether additional restrictions may or may not apply to such domains, I was simply making a direct answer to the commenter's assertation that a sub $1K single-letter name is not possible from a fresh reg.

I have shown that this is not correct, and it is not your place to try and chastise me for presenting factual info that does contradict his comment.

.no and .se
Domeneshop.no

.fr
EuroDNS.com
There might be a discount code in the EuroDNS thread

(EuroDNS do .gr and .ru too, I'm unsure if they're competitive on .gr but I'm sure they are well over-priced on .ru)

Read up on the residency requirements for .no and .fr to avoid getting your domains taken from you. If you qualify for one, I'm betting you won't qualify for the other.

Thanks a lot! But I've heard a lot of complaints about EuroDNS.

Are there any other registries?

Thank you in advance =]

I personally have never had a problem with EuroDNS, but if you're looking for alternatives check this list:

DNS Belgium

Do they ask for any kind of documents when you register? [EuroDNS]

Thanks.

Yeah I got that one too. Unfortunately their .ca registrations and renewals are ridiculously expensive, one might even say gouging.

Over the years I have found their service to be the best in the .ca biz...but maybe that's just me....

It's not just you :tu:

Their .ca price is worth it knowing the perks that
come with it, and you can't beat the customer service!

Thanks for the code :)
