This thread is for appraisals of ccTLD's ONLY! All other appraisals should be posted here NamePros Domain Appraisals Forum

Domain Appraisal Rules

  • Post only domains you own or control in the Domain Appraisals Forum.

  • Do NOT offer REP or NP$ for Appraisals

  • Do NOT be offended by the appraisals you receive, as they reflect opinions from individuals who are volunteering their opinions and experience for free. In the end, the value of the domain is what it actually sells for, not what others think its worth.

  • Consolidate your 'Domains for Appraisal' to one post per week. We want to make it as fair as humanly possible to ALL Namepros members.

  • When appraising the name, please make sure to quote the original post of the domain you are appraising.

  • When/If in doubt, please PM the forum moderator or any member of the NP Team.

You may not post ccTLD adult names in this thread. Instead, post such in NamePros Adult Domain and Site Reviews. We understand that adult names are part of our industry, just use your best judgement considering there are minors on the site.

Guide For NamePros Appraisers

It is strongly encouraged that everyone, industry "newbies" and domain veterans alike, to put thought and take pride in your appraisals. You certainly need not be the most experienced domainer to be able to offer helpful appraisals to domain owners.

We have prepared a short guide for newbie appraisers as an introduction to doing quality appraisals.

Advice for newbie appraisers,

Don't:
- Use "cut & paste" appraisals
- Just copy what the poster before you said
- Offer up specific values if you're doing so solely by guessing

Do:
- Give your first impressions of the name (what did you think of when you first saw it?)
- Comment on the way the domains sound (verbally)
- Share development ideas and talk about possible uses
- Suggest possible end-user buyers who might have need for the name
- Comment on similar names that have sold or that are currently available for registration
- If appraising with a value, offer a brief explanation why
- Complete the Interview Q&A's for your profile so members can understand your perspective
- Explain your valuation methods in your Appraiser Interview Q&A's

- Learn from your fellow members. If you see appraisers that are consistently on-target with their appraisals, learn from them. Notice how they structure their appraisals and the kind of criteria they look for in a quality name. You will now have access to their appraiser profiles so you can learn what methods and tools he or she uses to appraise names.

- Keep in touch with currents in the domain industry by keeping up with domain-related discussions on NamePros.

- And finally, continue to build your own experiences in buying and selling names.

dorado.mx

Means golden in Spanish.

Could have el.dorado.mx but I think its quite good on its own anyway.

3dSites.com.au

Everywhere I look lately has a plethora of 3d Sites listed.

Even here on namepros, 3d names appearing to be breeding.

So it was with amazement I found available and registered

I have no idea the value of .mx names but at least its Spanish which is a rung up from most domains I've seen.

Thanks :)

I've actually made myself quite a good list of available Spanish .mx but I'm reluctant to keep spending as I haven't sold any of them yet and dont' really know their value.

I don't think a thread is the right thing for cctld appraisals...

a sub-forum in the appraisal board with each name getting a new thread,
will be much better IMO..

You'll see what I mean after a few names have been submitted...

Cheers
Toni :)

Agreed this will be very difficult to manage. People wont get proper reviews and ultimately they will just post it in the normal appraisal section.
