Hi everyone, sorry i am still quite new. and after reading many threads started on this Sub Forum, i still do not get it.

Really hope some kind souls can help me out with this.

May i ask, let's say i have about 50 domains at godaddy

can i still park them at sedo? or seriosly, is namedrive or parked better?

do i need to pay anything either to godaddy or sedo?

and if i were to sell a domain in future, is it going to be complicated and difficult?

Thank you alot.

I just signed up with GoDaddy's Cash Parking a couple days ago. It's $3.99/month to "Cash Park" up to 500 domains. Pulling domains out of the system is easier than adding them (and that's pretty easy).

This is my first foray into this whole parked domain revenue thing, but I'm probably going to try a few domains on each of the most recommended services and see which works best.

If godaddy is your registrar - they will park them for 'free' if you do nothing (which means they park them and get the revenue)

You can park with any company (that will accept your domains).

I personally wouldn't pay a company to park my domains - unless you know you will be earning more than the parking fee.

Parking is just like hosting - you don't have to park or host with a registrar - unless you want to.

Hi and welcome. As one newbie to another, and please ignore this if you've already done it- you might want to check into the trademark issues and parking being used as evidence of "bad faith" before you park any name that might have a trademark to it. The legal threads have lots of good info.
enjoy,

You can park with anyone you like. Its as easy as changing the nameservers and just setting up the domains with the parking companies. The truth is GoDaddy's service is pretty weak, and they charge you for a service thats free everywhere else. (almost).

I might recommend starting off with NameDrive or Sedo or Even ParkingPanel.com (my current provider).

Good luck!

Thanks everyone.
Everyone's been really a great help, and yes thanks alot.
I will park the rest, but somehow I still do not really know like how cash parking works.
like do they pay you when people type something in the url bar or just from searching and landing on your website.

But I wil try it out in the next couple of days.

I think I wouldn't be parking my Olympic domains, because I might get into a big legal issue with the IOC.

Thank you again everyone.

Parking is simple. When someone visits your domain name. Parking displays relevant ads to your domain. So, if you have a Tax domain - say - TaxABC.com (example). It will display tax links on the page. When someone clicks on a link - then you make some money. (those links are advertisers who are trying to drive traffic to their site).

So... the more clicks you get, the more money you make. If these are fresh registrations, its unlikely you will get much. Good luck though!
