Hey Nameproers! So I got an inquiry email from someone called capvec. It looked like a very generic email and there was no detail given. Their website doesn't give anything away either really. I'm just wondering if anyone else has heard from them or knows anything about them?

Yeah there seems to be a general opinion that they are not scammers which was my main reason for asking. Thanks for all the replies guys.

I also received an email from CapVec (Michael). He asked for one of my one word .coms. Maybe legit, but want to get good domains for $x. Didn't respond after I replied with asking price.
Time waster

It's strategic campaigning for catch good name with low price... maybe... ;)

Too bad he now ruined solid domain (21 years old) by his actions (mass emailing without any adequate offer)

Yup, my email client actually caught his message as spam wouldn't allow for a reply.

What a shame!

And now this domain is in the title of SEO strong forum. I guess serious business under this domain is SF from now on.

heh..I know who he is. He's a NP'er and you guys might be surprised to know who he is. Dig a little deeper and you'll find him. He pissed me off last week and I told him to remove me immediately from his lists or else I'd take it to NP. But I see he's annoyed others here too.

Expect your inbox to be bombarded shortly.. LOL.

lol..I'm not ratting the guy out. I've done a deal with him in the past and the only reason I got annoyed was that he kept hitting my inbox AFTER I tried to communicate with him. So he basically ignored me then kept sending me sh*t.

I do outreach emails all the time..but I rarely ever target other domainers. If I do it's cause they might have an interest in one of my names. But to low ball offers to other domainers then ignore them when they reply back...not cool in my book.

Got an email today too for a LLL dot in. After reading these comments, not sure what to reply.
I'm not a frequent domainer so not used to this. Suggestions? Thanks

@thesearcher My suggestion is to ignore and mute the message if you're using gmail. He will not stop emailing you and it's not even worth communicating with him. Unless you want to sell below reseller pricing. If so then you found your guy.

@BrandStarters Thank you for the advice. No way I'm going to sell it below reseller price.

Got a similar email from him as most on here, asking for price on a one word dot-com I have. I responded, haven't heard back.

The person may just be getting his 'feelers' out, trying to get a handle on how to price his own domains if he decides to develop his Capvec into something more than 1 page. Or even just by inquiring on people's domains, he's getting his own name out there and known in the process.

His domain Capvec is nicely aged, registered since 1995.

For the record, this domainer is reputable and has done many deals with people here. I have nothing bad to say about him. I just got annoyed with that aspect of his business which caused multiple emails to hit my inbox needlessly.

I do email outreach myself so I don't want to sound like a hypocrite and say what he's doing is horrible..because it's not and it's actually a necessary evil if you expect to find good deals or make some sales.

He's watching this thread so hopefully he can improve on his methods after seeing everyone's feedback.
