:hi:

On April 21, 08, I paid for a domain I bought at Sedo website and I was expecting a payment confirmation email. But, to my surprise, it’s been almost FIVE days and I haven’t heard ANYTHING from them about it.

I was wondering how long it takes for Sedo staff to send a payment confirmation email to the buyer and Transaction History to be updated accordingly.

Thank you for your time! :)

No, this is the second one. In the first purchase, I got their confirmation email within FOUR days of the payment.

This is weird. Payment confirmation usually take time in the first purchase only.

Go ahead and email your rep. There is nothing to lose :)

I was thinking about it myself. What is the avg. time they take for the credit card payment confirmation?

Well, I just sent them an email inquiring about the same.

Thank you. :)

Egypt .. Creditcard.

Don't blame Sedo. They have to deal with many fraud orders everyday. Plus I think they might have some kind of Seller/Buyer reputation system to cut some time Off.

For EX: How long have you been a member? How many transactions you have completed as a Seller/Buyer? Do you have many domains parked there? Payment methods you use?

All these info will help Sedo reps to decide on how they should handle your payment verification?

PS: I'm not sure If they handle it that way. This is just how I imagine it.

I have been a member there since early 2006.

In my first purchase, I got 2 domains and that was in the last week. And the whole process (from payment to push) took less than 10 days.

In my second purchase I paid for 8 domains (one by one) in a period of 3 days. And I haven't even got a single confirmation email for any of them as yet.

Whatever system they have in place, a payment confirmation should be quick.

Maybe they give preference to high quality domains only. IMO ;)

Are they winding up? On an official picnic? ;)

Where are they located? Their time-zone?

Have you checked on the Sedo site under "transactions" for any information? There may be some information there.

No, I haven't reached them on phone.

And, 'View Transactions' page says the following for all the domains I bought since I paid:

Transaction in progress. Click Domain Name for more info!
When I click the Domain Name, I am getting the following on the next page:

04/20/08 Agreement reached
04/20/08 Please send us your payment for the domain. The payment request for this sale can be found here:
Payment Request
As soon as your payment reaches our escrow account we will inform you and the technical transfer can begin.

And what's more interesting, I have paid them on 20th April 08. >:(

If you're in the US, their number is 617-499-7200. If you're lucky they might even answer the phone during business hours.

I have sent them THREE e-mails uptil now. And no luck! I'm frustrated. :(

Do they correspond with @msn.com email addresses? I recently changed my email address from my own @mysite.com to @msn.com. Can this make a difference here? Any opinion? :)

I have bought a few names, and they are handled by different people.
Some responds faster than the others.

Last week I've got three names, all assigned to the same person, that were hold up for 10 days with no news, even after my repeat email follow ups.

I email the case to my earlier contacts, and he got it done in a day by logging
into the responsbile person's email.
Maybe you can try the same.
