Are the cname or canonical domains same as a wildcard dns??
For example if i want to redirect a user at xxxx.infoxyris.com to infoxyris.com/user=xxxx then, what can i use, the cname records, a ptr record or a wildcard dns?
I am not so familiar with the BIND and DNS encapsulation types in U/Linux but familiar with win2k family, so please help.
Thank you

You'd do that with a wildcard. It's basically the same entry in the zone file as windows.
